Paris, juin 2020. Il se trame quelque chose derrière la façade bleu roi du 2 bis rue Caumartin. Et pour cause. Notre nouveau repère de maître-maroquinier vient de voir le jour. Porte d’entrée passée, les arômes de cuir se mêlent au parfum du bois de chêne. Tous les sens sont sollicités. La lumière chaleureuse invite même à se poser pour bouquiner. Plus qu’une nouvelle boutique, ce lieu est un nouveau concept.

Piocher ses fruits préférés, les manger ni vu ni connu. Sourire à des inconnus. Prendre son temps et remplir son panier méthodiquement. Il fait bon arpenter le Sud et ses marchés. Vivre en imaginant les meilleurs moments, profiter simplement. Pour cette nouvelle collection, nous avons délibérément cédé aux gourmandises de la terre et toute sa beauté. Nous sommes allés là où le bonheur est à portée de main, la Méditerranée en toile de fond.

From the sun, the most vibrant forms are unveiled, as well as the purest and most powerful hues. It’s thus with yellow, red, pink and orange that nature invigorates our spirit and senses. It’s more greatly inspired by simplicity than ever before. Our favorite moment? The return of the open market. Where everything perfectly mingles and there’s nothing more to add. All that is needed is the freshness of a white tablecloth in the shade of an olive tree and the promise of perfect moments.

This summertime poetry, this happy naivety and its pleasures for the senses express our desire to go back to the essentials, to that which is infinite. Sources of inspiration not only for our work as master leather craftsmen, but also for the painters that skillfully transform objects gleaned here and there into motifs, their shapes recreating the marvelous beauty of the Mediterranean. This harmony can be found in our citrus-hued Émilie, blackberry Madeleine, sun-colored Adèle, as well as our entire new Étienne line in canvas and leather. Pieces that embody promise… just like the open market’s return.

En collaboration avec le studio Be-Pole et l’architecte Antoine Ricardou, nous avons imaginé cette nouvelle boutique comme une porte d’entrée sur notre univers et notre savoir-faire centenaire. Tables d’atelier, mobilier en chêne, assises couvertes de velours, et sol en Terrazzo, le tout ponctué de rappels de bleu. Bienvenue dans l’antre des belles matières et de la maroquinerie bien finie. Notez les meubles inspirés par les bouquinistes de Seine. Un clin d’œil à Paris, cette ville qui nous est chère pour y avoir remporté le prix d’argent à l’exposition universelle de 1900. Mais ce n’est pas tout.
